SMART FIRE PREVENTION SYSTEM INSTALLED IN PRESTIGE STUDENT ACCOMMODATION

What was the need?

The Fitzalan is a high-end student accommodation building located right in the heart of Cardiff city. It was created in 2017 when a series of one- and two-storey vertical extensions were added to the existing buildings to increase the size up to a total of 357 beds.

The Fitzalan’s owners, McLaren Property, were in the process of selling when the new owner requested a full upgrade of all electrical installations and fire safety measures prior to completion. As all accommodation includes a fully kitted out kitchen with a combi microwave and hob, fire prevention was considered of particular importance.

The solution

The Firechief Kitchen Stove Guard was fitted as standard in all 313 apartments.
